This is the lightest-looking banquette in the collection. The back is a single upholstered panel framed in brass, carried on two brass uprights so that daylight passes between back and seat. In a narrow room or along a window line, where a solid high back would feel heavy, the floating panel keeps the run open.
The uprights are welded into the seat-box frame rather than relying on screws alone, because guests lean back hard on a floating panel and the joint has to take that load every night. We recommend a PVD-coated brass finish, which resists fingerprints and scuffing far better than lacquer on a part that hands touch constantly.
The seat is a deep upholstered box on a recessed plinth, piped to match the panel. It pairs naturally with café-scale tables and with our Velvet Dining Chair with Brass Legs on the open side.
