This is the most colourful table in the range. The top is an agate look in sintered stone: rust-red and warm grey bands around pale crystalline patches, framed by a deep antique-brass edge. Beneath it, slim walnut spindles splay down from a brass collar to a brass ring, like the frame of a lampshade turned upside down.
Timber and brass. The walnut warms the base and ties it to a timber floor, a walnut cap on a banquette, or a pair of dark wood chairs; the brass collar and ring repeat the edge band. The splayed spindles take up little floor space and leave clear gaps between them for knees.
Construction. Solid or veneered walnut spindles, mortised into a brass collar at the top and into the ring at the bottom; slab bonded to a sub-frame fixed to the collar; levelling glides under the ring. A hard-wearing lacquer is recommended on the timber for restaurant service.
Where it works. Cocktail restaurants, hotel dining rooms and private rooms where a table needs a conversation piece; also a good foil for a plain banquette in a muted fabric, where the top supplies the colour.
Choosing the slab. Agate patterns vary strongly, so we recommend approving a slab sample and noting the acceptable range on the schedule.
Options. Another stone look, timber species or metal tone can be drawn on request.
