The Lantern is the most theatrical table in the room, and it knows it. The top is a dark forest-green stone look, veined in pale green and white, framed by a deep antique-brass band. Below it stands a pedestal of arched brass loops, rising from a round brass foot and gathered under the slab like the ribs of an old lantern, with a few slim rods between them.
Why it suits a banquette room. The open, cage-like pedestal lets the eye pass through to the carpet, so the table feels light even though the top is dark. It pairs naturally with bottle-green velvet, oxblood leather and walnut caps, and the brass picks up any foot rail or lamp fittings nearby.
Made like furniture. The brass is fabricated and hand-finished, then given a protective antique finish that is deepened or lightened to your sample. The slab is bonded to a steel sub-frame and the edge band fitted flush, so the arris is protected from trays and glasses. The foot is weighted and has levelling glides.
Where it works. Hotel dining rooms, grill rooms, cocktail lounges and any bay that wants a table with a talking point. It is happiest as a two-top set against a banquette.
Options. Another stone look, a lighter brass finish, or a bronze edge can be chosen; the pedestal shape stays.
