The Claret is a wine-dark table with a single, off-centre idea. The top is a deep red-brown stone look with cream veins that run like branches, held in a matte antique-brass band. Underneath, one flat-sided brass column, shaped like a fin with a curved face, stands on a round brass disc.
What the fin does. A single column leaves four clear knee positions, so a two-top can seat guests on any side, and the curved face softens the geometry of a square top. The brass is the same tone as the edge band, which makes the base and top read as a single piece of metalwork supporting a slab.
Construction. Brass or brass-finished steel, formed, welded and hand-finished, with a matte antique colour to your sample. The slab is bonded to a sub-frame fixed to the column; the disc is weighted and fitted with levelling glides. Brass takes fingerprints, so choose lacquered for busy aisles and unlacquered for a living patina.
Where it works. Wine bars, steakhouse dining rooms, hotel restaurants with a deep-red or oxblood palette, and members' dining rooms. It pairs well with leather banquettes in tan, bottle green or cream.
Options. A darker or lighter metal, a different stone look, or a round or larger top can be drawn on request.
