A booth that is also a partition. The upholstered back stops at a comfortable 110 cm or so, is finished with a timber capping rail, and above it rises an open brass grid screen of square panes. Diners get a defined place and some separation from the next bay; the room keeps its sight lines and light.
The booth is upholstered in cream bouclé with ochre piping along the seat front and the inside edge of the back. The outer back is fully upholstered too, so it can stand in the middle of a room back-to-back or alone. A recessed timber plinth lifts the bouclé clear of the floor.
Where it works. Dividing a large dining room into zones, separating a bar from the restaurant, or lining an aisle where a solid high back would feel heavy. Two booths back-to-back share a single screen.
Options. Grid pattern and pane size, metal finish (brushed or polished brass, bronze, blackened steel), screen height, glass or no glass in the panes, capping timber, bouclé or any other cover (COM/COL accepted). The screen is bolted through the frame and drawn with its fixing on the shop drawing. Foams specified to meet BS 5852 / BS 7176 on request.
