The Sweep-Arm is a chair drawn in a single gesture. A dark walnut-toned timber frame rises from two slim back legs into curved arms that loop around the seat and meet a wrapped, curved back panel in cream leather. The seat is a plain cream leather cushion, set within a slim rail, and the front legs continue the sweep of the arms.
Why it works at a banquette table. The arms are low and curved, so the chair tucks under the table edge rather than catching the apron, and the cream leather lifts a dark table or a deep banquette fabric. It is a calm partner for couture banquette backs, with no pattern of its own.
Construction. Solid hardwood frame, shaped to the curve, with mortise-and-tenon or dowelled joints; the back and seat are foam over a ply deck, covered in leather or a fabric of your choice. Frame stain can be matched to walnut caps or to the table base.
Specifying it. The upholstery is COM or COL, so the cream shown is one option among many. Foams and covers can be specified to BS 5852 / BS 7176 on request; test reports are supplied for the specific item where available. Choose felt glides for timber floors and nylon for stone.
Where it works. Hotel restaurants, private dining rooms, tea rooms and bar-restaurants, wherever a lighter armchair is wanted opposite a banquette.
