On most banquettes the channels stop at a square corner. On the Wraparound Channel End, each horizontal channel continues around a small radius at the end of the run and the crest welt follows over the top in one line. From the aisle, the banquette looks wrapped rather than cut off.
This is one of the most labour-intensive details we make. Every channel must be cut as an individual curved panel and matched seam to seam on the radius, and the stitch work takes roughly twice as long as a square end. It is worth it on the end that faces the entrance or the main aisle, where it becomes a signature detail of the room.
The rounded end also has no hard corner to scuff, which helps on busy aisles. It is drawn as part of the banquette frame and works with any horizontal channel back, including the Ribbon Horizontal Channel Banquette.
