This corner banquette mixes two textures with a clear rule: soft where you lean, hard-wearing where you sit. The back is cream bouclé in deep, rounded vertical channels that turn the corner without a break. The seat and the wrapped end panels are cognac leather, and the whole piece stands on short tapered walnut legs at the corners and along the front rail.
In the room shown, the banquettes sit in travertine-walled bays divided by low walls and tall walnut slat screens, each bay with a walnut table on a metal base and two sculptural cream bouclé armchairs whose walnut frames echo the banquette legs.
Construction. Hardwood and plywood frame built in two legs that bolt together at the corner; channels set out to meet at the internal angle; leather seat on high-resilience foam over a sprung deck; solid walnut legs with adjustable glides.
Where it works. Corner bays, alcoves and booth-like bays in hotel restaurants and contemporary fine-dining rooms.
Options. Left or right hand, leg lengths of each side, bouclé, velvet or leather back, leather colour, and full-length plinth instead of legs. Fire-retardant foams and contract fabrics to BS 5852 / BS 7176 on request.
