Two fabrics do all the work here. A thick roll of rust crushed velvet runs along the top of the back and wraps down each end, catching light like a cuff. Inside, the back and seat are covered in a fine red-and-cream pinstripe, with the stripes running vertically on the back and from front to back on the seat so the lines meet at the seat crease.
The booth is shown as single-sided units, as back-to-back pairs dividing a dining room, and as an L-shaped corner booth around a square table. Tables shown have a black marble top with a walnut edge on a tapered walnut pedestal; grey upholstered curved-back chairs close the open side.
Construction. Hardwood and plywood frame, separate upholstered top roll so the velvet can be replaced without re-covering the whole booth, recessed dark plinth, and stripe matching set out on the drawing.
Where it works. Steakhouses, grill rooms and evening restaurants with low light, dark stone and warm metal.
Options. Stripe colourway, velvet colour, back height, single, double or corner configuration, and matching tables. Contract fabrics specified to BS 5852 / BS 7176 on request.
