This is a Chesterfield idea scaled for the dining table. The inside back is deep-buttoned in cognac leather, the buttons set in a grid that softens towards the top of the back, and the seat is a smooth cognac cushion with a fine piped edge. Turn the chair round and the outer back is quilted in a cream diamond pattern, held in a dark lacquered timber surround that also forms the open arm-height sides.
The frame is solid hardwood with a glossy dark finish. The front legs are gently shaped, the rear legs curve back, and all four end in brass ferrules. The quilted outer back matters in a dining room: it is what the next table sees, so the chair looks finished from every side.
Where it works. Clubs, grill rooms, cigar-friendly bars with dining, and hotel restaurants with a heritage interior. It also pairs naturally with our Chesterfield End on a banquette run.
Options. Inner leather colour and grade (COL accepted), outer quilting material and diamond size, frame finish (gloss or satin, dark or walnut) and ferrule finish. Foams can be specified to meet BS 5852 / BS 7176 on request; samples of leather and finish are sent before production.
